Posting something

Ok, so who else has been to the Post Office lately and found it such a pain to actually post something? Today I wasted nearly 20mins of my (late 2:30pm) lunch break in a massive long queue at the local Post Office.

I walked in, selected a CD box for the CD I wanted to post, scribbled an address on it and wandered over to the queue. There I waited and waited and waited, in the end the transaction took less than 45 seconds, after a good 15 to 20minute wait, I must been one of the rarities now days who just want to use the Post Office to post stuff.

People there to do photocopies, send faxes, have their passport photo done, withdraw their pension or benefit money, recharge their prepaid phone, buy a street directory, paying their phone bill, electricity bill, gas bill, car registration. Gah!! Doing everything under the sun but posting stuff.

Australia Post need to lift their game and focus on providing a decent service to people who want to post stuff, not being a convenience one stop shop for everything else under the sun.

Businesses do best when they focus on their core business and product, in todays world where businesses want to grab as much of the pie as possible they are easily distracted and lose focus. Remember the customer… pretty please 🙂

Luca is home

I brought Caterina & Luca home from the hospital on Monday morning. We had bit of a sleepless night but thankfully he has now settled in a bit and is sleeping better, which means we sleep better too!!

Last night I uploaded some more photos of Luca from the week that he was in hospital. He’s a cute baby 🙂

I also put together another video clip.

D Day

Well today was “D Day”, our baby was due! However we are still waiting patiently, the last week or two seems to go the slowest.

We spent the day doing a few chores around the house and not much more. I was moving some long wooden plank shelves in the rafters of the shed and didn’t realise how heavy they were, one 10foot x 2foot one came down and wacked me in the face.

So now I’ve got a smashed nose to add to my fractured rib (which is slowly getting better), lucky Caterina gave me some ice to hold on my nose so it didn’t swell up too much. Not like I need a bigger nose or anything 🙂

Samuel & Toni-Rae came over for an hour or so tonight with their boys, that was nice, we haven’t had them over as a family for a while. Tobias is soo cute, let’s hope our baby if it is a boy is as cute as Tobias!
